Lauren Campbell, M.D., was born and raised in northwest Houston, Texas, and attended Jersey Village High School. She then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin Summa Cum Laude after participating in the Dean’s Scholars Program for the College of Natural Sciences with Bachelors of Arts degrees in both Spanish and Biology.
Later Dr. Campbell attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston with a full academic and community service scholarship, graduating with honors. After completing medical school, she participated in an NIH funded clinical and research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in skin lymphoma and melanoma, with a focus on dendritic cell vaccine research and pigmented lesions. She completed Transitional Year training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Dr. Campbell completed dermatology residency at Rush University in Chicago, serving as chief resident. She has and continues to publish numerous research articles in dermatological journals. Her special interests within dermatology include pediatric dermatology, pigmented lesions, and diseases of the nails and hair. In her spare time she enjoys reading, outdoors activities, and spending time with her family and her Boston Terrier.
